Search and View
The one thing that makes searching and viewing of the different kinds of information found on the web possible is the web browser. A browser can be divided into at least six (6) basic parts. These would include the status bar, title bar, address bar, display window, toolbar icons and scroll bars. The status bar would usually show load speed plus the URL of a specific address although it may display other kinds of information that varies depending on what is being done at the time. While the title bar shows the title of the web page, the entire URL or website address can be found at the address bar. The browser work space constitutes the display window. Toolbar icons are made up of the various buttons while scroll bars are essentially navigational aids.
Among the available web browsers, some are more popular than the others. Internet Explorer is quite popular primarily due to compatibility and ease of use. Mozilla’s Firefox also enjoys considerable popularity. One of the reasons why this is so is its superior security features. Others that are not so far behind include the Safari and the Opera.
